The Price Alerts Drawing Tool is a very simple way to set price alerts on your chart.

To use the tool, click the
icon on The Swing Toolkit Toolbar and click on the price you want the alert to trigger. Set as many as you want!
How to use the Price Alert Horizontal Line
Usage
When price touches the line, an audible alert will sound (customizable), an entry is added to the “alert” window, and an email is sent (optional).
In the example below, if you were waiting for price to reach that potential reversal area, you can set a Price Alert (the red line) to let you know that price is getting close to your reversal area.

Audible Alert
When the alert is triggered, an audible alert sounds and the label turns gray, indicating it was triggered and is now disabled. To re-enable, simply drag the horizontal line to a new price (or back to the same price). It also has the optional ability to automatically re-enable on a new bar.
Once re-enabled, the color of the label will turn back to the color of the line itself, letting you know it’s enabled.
NinjaTrader Alerts
When an alert is triggered, an alert is added to the NinjaTrader’s “Alerts” window (New > Alerts Log), as the example below illustrates.
Email Alert
Finally, the tool can be configured to send an email when an alert triggers. This requires setting an email address in the Price Alert Line parameters, as well as setting up your email settings within NinjaTrader itself.
To access the NinjaTrader email settings, go to Tools > Options > General Section > Click on Share Services > Highlight Email > Click add, then give your mail settings (similar to the image below).
Below are some example settings for gmail accounts. Please use the appropriate settings for your email provider. Be sure to Send e-mail test to make sure that it is configured properly.
TXT Alert
Many wireless phone providers allow you to send an email to a special address, which will turn it into a txt message to your phone. Thus, essentially allowing txt-based alerts.
Based on your provider below, simply replace “cellnumber” with your 10-digit cell phone number (without dashes). Non-US phone providers may be different, so be sure to check with your provider for details. Of course, data charges may apply based on your carrier and plan!
